This week has been dang good!!! Full of unexpected miracles. On Saturday, one of our investigators came to the adult session of stake conference. She is the nice Italian lady that i've told you guys about. I hope that she listened and learned and felt the spirit there, because all of the talks were directed right at her. Everything that was said is just what she needs! It almost seems like it is expected that she will hear exactly what she needs every time she comes to church. And that is probably why she keeps on coming. We have not been able to meet with her this week, but hopefully we will on Wednesday. We should be able to set up a bapt. date with her then, I hope.

This sunday, the robinson family was able to come to stake conference with us. They were 20 min late, which was freaking me out because I wanted them to come super bad, but they made it. They really enjoyed it. Well, not so much for the kids, but the parents did! We had dinner with them that night. We talked most of the night about the church, structure, prayer, etc. It has been sooo cool because they've been making comments about how we need to find a substitute for coffee, It will be hard to get used to hearing about all of the different presidents that we have in the church, etc. So they pretty much are going to be baptized. We will be setting a date with them this wednesday.

And If that all is not cool enough, yesterday we ran into a special person named gale. We had set up an appointment with her about 2 weeks ago, but she was not home. She eventually called us back and said that she did want to meet with us and set up a time to come over yesterday at 1pm. So we were happy about that, people usually will never call you back. I think that she is the first one ever that has called us back, in my experience. Well we took bro. barker with us and went in to have the lesson. And this lesson is something that I will never forget. This is one of those experiences that you hear other people give when they come home off of their mission. It was a very special and I could also say a sacred experience. We went over, sat down and began to talk. In just a few minutes she just flat out said," So what is your church really about?" And it all started. We asked her what she knew, which were a few things that she had heard. We told her that we had a very strong stance on the family. And she begun to tell us many things that are going on in her life. She just opened right up and told us soo many things. She has some guts to do that. I have never prayed sooooo hard to ask for help from god to help me know what to say. Because I know that I had nothing, absolutely nothing, and i needed help sooo bad. We somehow got onto the topic of tools that help us overcome these trials. We began to talk about the restoration. I began to say the first vision. And up to this point, the spirit had been super strong, but when the 1st vision was recited, the spirit increased 10 fold. We told her about what she was feeling, and she knew it was true. We then asked her to be baptized on the 10th of march, and she totally accepted. It was crazy through this whole thing because I know half the stuff that I was saying was not coming from me. Things flowed too perfectly to have been made up by me. You guys know me, im not a very good teacher! But God is, and he did a very, very good job through me. This experience was one of those things that just change your life. And one of those things that make 8 months of a mission worth every second, in just a matter of 2 hours. It was a miracle, there is no better way to put it.

Letter from 1/2/2012

Hey Family, Happy Beginning of the end of the world! Well.... probably not. Our New Years down here in Temecula was a pretty warm one. Lately its been around the 80's, it just seems like it is summer again! On new years eve we had to be in by 7 because of all of the crazy people. But at 6 we were able to have a dinner at a members house with one of our former investigators, whose name is Andy. It turned out really good, it was very relaxed and I hope Andy will come to our church one of these days. He doesn't seem to want us to teach him, but he wants to come to church. He usually goes over to the Calvary chapel church, which is a christian church that is not too fond of us mormons. So i'm wondering if that has anything to do with him meeting with us, or not meeting with us, or whatever.

The Vampire man came to church two days ago, that was exciting. His name is Rayray by the way. And he is totally going in my journal! Last Tuesday we went by to teach him, and he apparently did not want us to teach him for some odd reason. But eventually we invited him to church, and he was super excited to go to church. He said that he has been having a rough time, and that going to church would be good for him.... As long as his feet did not burn... Anywise, he came to church. In Sunday school he got up and did a rap for everyone in the class. It was clean, but I have never seen any class start out with a rap before, which was pretty interesting. After every hour he had to get up and take a smoke brake. And he said that he liked it for a few reasons. 1) his feet did not burn. 2) He loved the YW voice that got up to sing during sacrament. 3) There was not crosses. 4) everyone was nice. 5) he was able to do his rap in class. Then during church he invited us over for dinner... And we have smelt his house, and it smelt sooooo bad!! All of the smoke was terrible! So we said that we could, and went over. We had some kind of chicken, which he told us was pork chops, potatoes, and steamed veg. During the dinner he was going off on some weird stuff! He told us that he was a millionaire, he owned all of the 6 flags except 1, he owned a store back east called giant. He also believes in energies, but not the holy ghost. He apparently does not believe in Christ... And after all of this time, coming to church, talking with us, etc. He thought that we did not believe in Christ, That we were vampires, and we were a cult.... Soooo, to say the lest, once he came to a realization of all of these things that we believe, he did not want to have us teach him, or come to church... He still is a child of god and all, but he has something wrong inside his head, and there really is not too much that we can do for him. This sounds bad, but he is soo far gone, we cant do anything unless something changes. So ya crazy stuff. It makes me feel bad, but what can ya do?
